Tim Faulkner ~ Australian Reptile Park & Devil Ark General Manager, TV personality and AG Conservationist of the year 2015

  • Club Taree 121 Wingham Road Taree, NSW, 2430 Australia (map)

WOW! We are very excited and consider ourselves extremely lucky to have Tim find time, amongst his extensive commitments, to join us in August. A big thank you is due to the year 6 kids from Tinonee Public School who swayed him to visit them for their Kidspreneur projects relating to the Endangered Manning River Turtle - for which he is an Ambassador. The kids were tasked to write to all media, including Tim. He received 30 letters from them and decided to visit the school on the 29th and then come to the Manning Net as well, saying “I’m a sucker for kids”.

Tim’s credentials in the Australian zoo industry and conservation organisations are numerous, making him a leader in his field. His work is dedicated to hands-on wildlife education and conservation. He works with all manner of wildlife from Crocodiles to snakes and spiders - milking Funnel-web spiders!

His passion extends to many other species, he launched The Devil Ark breeding facility at Barrington Tops NSW as an endeavour to save the Tasmania Devil from extinction and holds the role of General Manager. He is also General Manager and Head of Conservation at the Australia Reptile Park in Somersby NSW - the Central Coast’s largest tourism attraction drawing over 220,000 visitors per year. He is an ambassador and activist for several animals - the Quokka, the Australian Dingo Coalition and of course, the Manning River Turtle.

Tim also has a strong media presence from regular appearances in the Bondi Vet from 2012 to his own ‘The Wild Life of Tim Faulkner’ program launched in 2013 being broadcast to a global audience of 180 million per series in 150 countries.

In 2015 Tim was honoured to win the Australian Geographic Society 2015 Conservationist of the Year title. - any wonder?
