Our speaker, Clare Brennan:
Clare brings a wealth of clinical experience to her role as Transition Manager for First Steps Count Child and Community Centre (FSC). The project saw the physical start of construction this year - using sustainable practices. This followed many years of development and fundraising from its initial conception by a collaboration of community members concerned about children’s development and welfare.
Clare will speak about her training as a Speech Pathologist, and the family move from the city to the country, just last year, to take on the Transition Manager role for First Steps Count.
Summed up by a direct quote from the First Steps Count website: “One of the main aims of First Steps Count Child and Community Centre is to ensure all children are ready to learn and ready for school, and that parents and families can access advice, information and support when they need it”
