 Cheryl Laffernis comes to us from the south of India where she spent her formative years before moving to the Indian capital New Delhi and then on to suburban Melbourne in the early 90’s.

 Belonging to the so-called Anglo-Indian community, her forbears come from Italy, Iraq, Portugal, Spain, and Scotland.

 Her story is one of migration, community, relationships, food, culture and kinship”.
