In May this year, 23 year old Emma qualified for the 2024 Half Ironman World Championships to be held in December at Taupo, New Zealand. She will contest the Half Ironman event in the 18-24 year age group. This is not Emma’s first World Championship as in 2022 she was Australian national champion in this age division and competed in Utah.

The event involves swim, bike and run legs over distances that sound exhausting!

Soon after competing in Utah, Emma took time off training and went on a holiday around Australia. Now back in full training mode, we look forward to learning more about the gruelling half Ironman event and Emma’s preparation for it, her travels, her passions and future goals.
